Currently the gallery director at Robbin Gallery in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, Merchant also teaches oil painting at the St. Louis Park Lenox Center, the Hopkins Center for the Arts, the Minnetonka Center for the Arts and at his studio in south Minneapolis.
